The Martian is undeniably one of my favourite books, so I was so hyped for Project Hail Mary. As soon as the audiobook was available, I jumped straight into it, knowing I loved The Martian's audiobook so much. And Project Hail Mary? It did not disappoint. This is going on the favourite book list for sure. Rating: 5 stars.
This book was, in every way, nothing like my usual picks. I requested it because I loved both of the books I've read by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. And I adored this just as much. Everyone absolutely needs to read this, I loved the drama and the scandal and the glittering beauty of the season. It was incredible, and I had to tell everyone all about it while I was reading because I just couldn't believe what was happening. Rating: 4.5 stars
I actually had this one pre-ordered long before I got accepted for the eARC, because Christina Henry is one of my auto-buy authors and I was waiting impatiently for Waterstones to bring out a signed edition of Near the Bone to match the rest of my series. Rating 4 stars.
Okay, I totally gave into the hype on this one and I'm so glad I did. This book is as beautiful inside as it is outside, and I don't know whether the proof or the finished copy is prettier! Both are just so gorgeous. I was so excited to be invited onto the blog tour for this fantasy debut.
This series is one of my absolute favourite fantasy series of all time. This was one of my most anticipated releases of 2021, so when Tor sent me a copy early, I threw my entire TBR away to reread the series and jump into the next instalment.
I adored Red, White and Royal Blue so much when I read it in 2019 so obviously I had to get my hands on this. Fortunately, it absolutely stood up to the hype. Rating 5 stars.
4 stars. This incredible debut has been on my radar forever, and it absolutely lived up to all the hype I'd heard. This is a strong start to a fantasy series and I'm already so impatient for the next book! Not to mention, look at that gorgeous cover.
5 stars! This book is so hard to talk about that I've been sitting on reviewing this for a month now. Oops. I honestly kept coming back to this but I couldn't find the words to explain how this book gutted me in the best ways possible. Really you just have to read it.
I'm so excited to be on the blog tour for this incredible, sapphic dark fantasy novel. I knew I was going to love this sleeping beauty retelling, following the villainous rise of protagonist Alyce - and following her falling in love with Aurora. And I was right. Rating: 5 stars!
This YA thriller releases in a couple of weeks, and it's one to look out for if you enjoy books like Karen M. McManus's One of Us is Lying series or A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. The Last Girl is also publishing in the US under 'The Mary Shelley Club', a title I love just as much! Rating: 4 stars!
