I have, unfortunately, had a few months of disappointing sequels, so when I got sent the absolutely stunning physical ARC of Misrule, I was equal parts excited and scared. I loved Malice the first time I read it, and when I reread it in preparation for Misrule, I loved it even more. And Heather Walter? She knocked it out of the park. This sequel absolutely stuck the landing.

BLOG TOUR REVIEW | The Kaiju Preservation Society | John Scalzi
I don’t know what I was expecting from this book, but it wasn’t what I got. What I got was an amazing, light-hearted and fun read that was like reading a bubblegum pop song. I loved every second of it. Even during the tense moments of this book, it stayed hilarious and the tone has me absolutely obsessed with this book. I can’t wait to clear some more of my TBR so I have an excuse to buy more of Scalzi’s work after reading this one.
BLOG TOUR REVIEW | Lies Like Wildfire | Jennifer Lynn Alvarez
I'm a complete sucker for a YA thriller, and I loved the premise of this book. It was, in the end, very different from what I expected. And that's the best way for a thriller to be! This book will take you on a ride and I can't wait to read more from this fantastic thriller writer! Rating: 4 stars!
BLOG TOUR REVIEW | Wicked Little Deeds | Kat Ellis
I loooooove Kat Ellis's writing! I reviewed Harrow Lake for the blog tour last year and I shouted about it for months after. Wicked Little Deeds, out 5th August 2021, gave me exactly the same level of thrillery joy! I adored it, reading the majority of it in one sitting, and I can't wait to see more from Kat. Rating: 5 stars!
REVIEW | Subject Twenty One | A.E. Warren | Tomorrow’s Ancestors #1
an invite for the blog tour for SUBJECT TWENTY ONE, and I signed up because I love sci-fi and the cover is pretty. Picked it up one evening to read a few chapters and get a feel for the writing and I read the entire thing in two sittings - I only stopped to sleep. I can't wait to get my hands on THE HIDDEN BASE, and I'm glad I don't have to wait long to read the sequel. Rating: 4 stars!
BLOG TOUR REVIEW | The Wolf and the Woodsman | Ava Reid
Okay, I totally gave into the hype on this one and I'm so glad I did. This book is as beautiful inside as it is outside, and I don't know whether the proof or the finished copy is prettier! Both are just so gorgeous. I was so excited to be invited onto the blog tour for this fantasy debut.
BLOG TOUR REVIEW | Malice | Heather Walter
I'm so excited to be on the blog tour for this incredible, sapphic dark fantasy novel. I knew I was going to love this sleeping beauty retelling, following the villainous rise of protagonist Alyce - and following her falling in love with Aurora. And I was right. Rating: 5 stars!
BLOG TOUR REVIEW | The Henna Wars | Adiba Jaigirdar
Everyone's been talking about this book all year, and I've been patiently waiting for the UK release date (January 7th, 2021). So when I was offered the chance to review it for the upcoming blog tour, I don't think I've ever answered an email so quickly in my life! And boy did The Henna Wars hold up to the hype! Rating: 5 stars
REVIEW | Cute Mutants Volume 2: Young, Gifted and Queer | SJ Whitby
I love these superqueeroes, and this is absolutely my favourite discovery of 2020. I adore this series and each book is better than the one before. I reviewed Cute Mutants Vol 1: Mutant Pride on the blog, here, and I've got a review of Cute Mutants Vol 3: The Demon Queer Saga coming out soon! These are an insta buy for me, and I recommend them highly. Rating: 5 stars!
BLOG TOUR REVIEW | Cute Mutants Volume 1: Mutant Pride | SJ Whitby
There's an outside chance that this might be my perfect book. Sapphics, mutants, a sentient bat and Pillow. If you like funny, nerdy prose and superqueero characters, this is your perfect book too. Not to mention look at that cover, all three volumes (two released and one upcoming) have covers as beautiful as the content. Rating: 5 stars
