I was emailed a review request for this one, and I couldn't resist the weird sounding summary. I'm so glad I agreed to read it, because this strange sci-fi hit all my found family weak spots. Rating: 4 stars.

an invite for the blog tour for SUBJECT TWENTY ONE, and I signed up because I love sci-fi and the cover is pretty. Picked it up one evening to read a few chapters and get a feel for the writing and I read the entire thing in two sittings - I only stopped to sleep. I can't wait to get my hands on THE HIDDEN BASE, and I'm glad I don't have to wait long to read the sequel. Rating: 4 stars!
The Martian is undeniably one of my favourite books, so I was so hyped for Project Hail Mary. As soon as the audiobook was available, I jumped straight into it, knowing I loved The Martian's audiobook so much. And Project Hail Mary? It did not disappoint. This is going on the favourite book list for sure. Rating: 5 stars.
Okay, as if I haven't talked about Cute Mutants by SJ Whitby enough. This series is an absolute favourite of mine and I've loved it from the first chapter of the first book! So obviously, we had to do a book tag for these amazing characters!
I got the rest of the Wayfarers series for Christmas 2020 (late to the party, I know) and ended up reading them all over the course of a few days. So I was really excited to get a review copy of The Galaxy, and the Ground Within. I highly recommend the audiobooks for this whole series, they're excellently narrated and such comfort listens. Rating: 4 stars.
The Forward Collection is a fantastic collection of novellas, all fascinating and complex science-fiction stories reimagining the future. I listened to all of them on audible using kindle unlimited to get them for free in both audio and ebook. The audiobooks are all fantastically narrated and I highly recommend.
I love these superqueeroes, and this is absolutely my favourite discovery of 2020. I adore this series and each book is better than the one before. I reviewed Cute Mutants Vol 1: Mutant Pride on the blog, here, and I've got a review of Cute Mutants Vol 3: The Demon Queer Saga coming out soon! These are an insta buy for me, and I recommend them highly. Rating: 5 stars!
There's an outside chance that this might be my perfect book. Sapphics, mutants, a sentient bat and Pillow. If you like funny, nerdy prose and superqueero characters, this is your perfect book too. Not to mention look at that cover, all three volumes (two released and one upcoming) have covers as beautiful as the content. Rating: 5 stars
My first ever whole series review as I review (ramble about) The Lunar Chronicles series, fairytale retellings in a scifi world that literally blew me all the way into a book hangover.
I'll admit, my attention was caught by this gorgeous cover and by the tagline 'imagine a world where touching was illegal'. Perhaps for obvious reasons this seemed like it might be an interesting read and, despite what it might seem, was a good distraction from our viral pandemic. I hadn't read any of Kristin Cast's previous books, but I had heard of them and decided this was a good way to dip into her writing. Rating: 3.5 stars
